The Ascension (2021) 

RWCMD Painting Replica and Prop Build

Specialist study for my final year RWCMD. Scaled replica of Rembrandt's The Ascension, with corresponding custom tabernacle-style frame. The painting was completed as an exercise in practising scaling and transcription, whereas the building of the frame was a challenge in building a functional prop as in as cost and environmentally friendly a manner as possible, often using scrap and found materials.
